WHAT IS WARM WATER HEALING?

Warm Water Healing (often called Watsu or Aquatic Therapy) was created in the early 1980’s in California and Europe. Resting back into the arms of the practitioner you are floated, stretched, cradled, massaged and moved through warm water (34.5°C). With the use of a nose clip there is also the option of being submerged underwater. Rebecca is trained in numerous Warm Water Healing practices including Watsu®, WaterDance™️, Fluid Presence® and Aquatic Integration™️.

BENEFITS

  • Release of pain and tension
  • Muscle, joint and spine care
  • Reduced anxiety and stress
  • Calming of the nervous system
  • Peace and relaxation
  • Fuller, deeper breathing
  • Improved sleep and digestion
  • Processing fear, grief and life changes

AT A DEEPER LEVEL

Water is a profound conduit for healing, and sessions may offer relief on multiple levels: physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. Its easeful flow softens pain and gently releases anxiety. If it is what you need, the water can be a place to explore your emotional world and the deep yearnings of your heart. Because something happens when we are held and witnessed. Core limiting beliefs often surface and dissolve. We are invited to drop deeper into ourselves accessing a state of presence that is elusive in everyday life.

Self inquiry, conscious communication, deep listening, boundaries and truth are of great importance to Rebecca. She brings an authentic curiosity, respect and perceptive understanding of these matters to her sessions. And uses techniques such as Focusing and Non-Violent Communications to help each person fathom their personal experience.

Sessions are conducted in a spacious, therapeutic pool heated to 34°C.
Rebecca offers Warm Water Healing sessions in Queensland and Melbourne. Her Queensland sessions are in both Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. Her online booking calendar is up to date and the best way to check availability. Day, evening and weekend times are available. If you need to make a time outside of this schedule you are welcome to send an email and she will try and accommodate you.
Queensland sessions are held in two locations. Brisbane sessions are at the Ascot Aquatic Centre located at 274 Lancaster Rd Ascot 4007, Brisbane, Australia. This pool is shared with up to three other people. The Noosa Area pool is in Cooroibah and is private. Address will be provided at time of booking.
Melbourne sessions are held at the Hawthorn Aquatic Centre located at Grace St Hawthorn 3122, Melbourne, Australia and the Northcote Aquatic Centre located at 180 Victoria Rd Northcote 3070, Melbourne, Australia. These are not exclusive pools but sessions are held when the pool is mostly quiet.
An individual session is a relaxing and nurturing experience but multiple sessions are suggested for those who want a deeper experience of the healing and transformative potential of Warm Water Healing. Each session is unique and builds on the one prior. The body progressively softens and opens to receive more. This is especially the case for those exploring trauma or spiritual themes.
It’s suggested that you allow space for reflection and integration after your session. Racing back to work is not such a great plan. Staying relaxed and watery is a much better option.
Yes. Warm Water Healing (Aquatic Therapy) is approved for the NDIS Scheme so your budget can be allocated towards sessions?
