HOW CAN WATER THERAPY SUPPORT STRESS, ANXIETY & DEPRESSION?

Water Wisdom Therapy can offer significant relief for stress, anxiety and depression.

Promotes deep relaxation
The warm water and continuous support reduce physical tension. Passive movement calms the nervous system, shifting the body from "fight or flight" (sympathetic) to "rest and digest" (parasympathetic) mode.

Enhances Mind-Body Connection
The fluid, rhythmic movements help people feel safe, grounded, and present. This can counteract the dissociation or detachment common in anxiety or depression.

Reduces Cortisol Levels
Water therapies have been shown to lower cortisol (stress hormone) levels and increase endorphins.

Supportive Environment
Being held and moved in water can evoke feelings of being nurtured, which may be particularly healing for people dealing with emotional trauma or isolation.

Improves Sleep and Mood
The deep relaxation achieved can improve sleep quality, reduce irritability, and boost mood — all important for managing depression and anxiety.

Somatic healing
Trauma is often stored in the body; Water Wisdom Therapy offers a safe space for somatic (body-based) processing without needing verbal communication.

Attachment repair
The nurturing, womb-like experience can be reparative for individuals with attachment trauma.

Emotion regulation
Encourages co-regulation through physical presence and breath synchrony with the therapist.

“The water's gifts are profound. A trusting space for compassion, surrender, emergence and transformation. Connect deeply with your felt experience in this moment. From that place so much is revealed.”

Rebecca is a powerful healer. She has a deep connection with the water and its healing abilities. She has a deep and wide knowledge of what brings humans back to their vitality and peace. Ive been living with chronic pain, PTSD and some intense nervous system collapses. The sessions I've done with Rebecca have been instrumental in making me feel more at ease in my body and in the world. If you're not sure what Water Wisdom is, you don't need to because your body will. Get out of your noggin and book in with Rebecca.

I found Rebecca to be very accommodating and She made me feel relaxed right from the start. I felt like I was in the water for about 10mins, due to the calming and relaxing nature of the therapy. If you have mobility problems or are pregnant, you should definitely check Rebecca out. As for people like me, I just enjoyed the feeling of letting go and relaxing, listening to the sounds of the water and the gentle movement through the water.

Rebecca's calming presence and professional rapport allows you to feel completely comfortable in her hands and surrender to the Watsu experience, along with giving you the confidence to open up and share about yourself. Immediately afterward the session I felt thoroughly relaxed and aware that something special had taken place. That evening I slept deeply through out the night without interruption and woke to a profound sense of peace that could have only been due to my Watsu session. Thank you Rebecca.

I have had two warm water sessions with Rebecca - about 3 months apart. I find it deeply restorative and nurturing. Each session has been unique, some parts dynamic & open & others nourishing and gentle. I would highly recommend Rebecca.

Rebecca was a calming influence on the day taking time to get to know me, my story and explaining the water healing experience. The experience was surreal, keeping my face above water while using her hands to move my body around in the water. It tapped into that primal phase of the preverbal period where healing was needed.

Rebecca is a gifted therapist providing safety and stability at her core. The session was a real treat, being cradled and massaged by the water in Rebecca’s strong arms. I can really see the therapeutic benefit of this work. As a psychologist I would recommend this work to clients interested in somatic ways of regulating their nervous system and healing.
The water is love.
